National Sales Executive

We launched Neo-Pure to solve a food safety challenge for dry foods like seeds, grains, and nuts. Traditional solutions do not work for these dry foods. Unlike milk, which is pasteurized, and lettuce, which is sprayed with chlorine, nothing is done for food safety for most dry foods. As a result, there are outbreaks and recalls due to food poisoning, and the industry is in search of a standard solution.

Neo-Pure can become the new food safety standard for dry foods. It uses a validated combination of chemistry and equipment to control pathogens such as Salmonella on nuts, seeds, and grains. Unlike pasteurization, Neo-Pure keeps foods raw, organic, and viable. It is a liquid solution that is applied on nuts, seeds, and grains in its Food Safety System as a validated intervention step at food processing sites. After launching Neo-Pure in 2016, we have more than fifteen food processors that are, or will soon be, using Neo-Pure in their Food Safety Systems.

Agri-Neo is looking for a highly motivated Senior Sales Executive to focus on acquiring new food processing customers in North America for Neo-Pure and its Food Safety System for seeds, grains, and nuts. We are looking for an experienced salesperson in the food processing or food safety industries who can join our growing team as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire new customers by negotiating and closing system sales deals with food processors
• Ongoing research to identify suitable prospects using internal CRM systems
• Client prospecting including but not limited to lead generation, cold outreach; re-engagement of inactive prospects
• Meeting with prospects in-person to build rapport, educate and assess mutual fit;
• Preparation and presentation of proposals communicating business case (financing, strategic) with the adoption of Neo-Pure;
• Building financial models to demonstrate return on investment with Neo-Pure;
• Collaboration with internal colleagues in food science and engineering along with external bodies;
• Extensive travel in North America and internationally

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, specifically to the food processing industry
• Relevant post-secondary education in business, commerce or sales
• A strong network of dry food processors in nuts, seeds, and/or grains is preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of food safety, equipment, and chemicals
• Strong track record of excellence in sales to new customers
• Strong ability to build rapport and relationships
• Exceptional oral communication skills
• Collaborative, highly resilient, and growth mindset
• Enjoys an innovative culture and the excitement that comes from achieving sales targets
• Intrinsic motivation with a strong ability to work independently
• Excellent computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite
